Graphic Art Projects

Welcome to my Graphic Art Portfolio. I wish I could say I have a lot, but I lost move of my files when the Mac I had was struck by a major power-surge during a lightening storm. The images I have left are only copies I kept from a back-up CD-R I made. Enjoy what I do have and when I have the time, I'l make some more.

Terrain

This landscape image was created use Bryce on an old Macintosh PowerPC 6500. It only had 96MB of RAM to work with so it was very slow working with Bryce on it.

After playing with all the features of Bryce and learning how it works on that computer I managed to squeeze out this mountain landscape after waiting about 10 mins for it to render.

Blue Swirl

When I finally managed to get my hands on a educational version of Photoshop, it came with a variety of filters that I literally went fro broke making odd and wierd shapes.

Unintentionally, through a combination of 3 photoshop filters, I was able to create this swirling image.

Ball Moving through Space

Using a royalty-free background and multiple layers within photoshop. I was able to create this ball to appear like it was moving through outerspace on its own. The white circle is a inverted drop-shadow that is supposed to be an "engine" halo pretending the ball was some form of spacecraft.

Ball on Fire

This image is basically a black ball with a fire filter applied. The extra effects were down with Kai's Power Goo to smudge and nudge the flames higher and make it more interesting.

Fire in the Sky

I got ahold of a demo of a lighting effects filter and managed to create this nice blinding effect like something exploding in space.

Zoom Ball

This is the last of the images I was able to save after my Mac melted. It is a zoom-filtered black, with streaks of white. The ball was intended just to be rolling down the lines, however, with the glow effect it was almost like it was starting to heat up from friction or something.
